I’m a software engineer, and I have spent more than fourteen years building complex software systems.

I have designed and built products across e-commerce, online classifieds and food-tech, including quick-service restaurants (QSR). My technical interests are distributed systems, software architecture, system design and resilience.

I am just as interested in the product and business side of that work: what end users need, which numbers the business is judged on, and how the systems I build can move them.

This blog is where I write about what I have learned along the way, and occasionally about other subjects that interest me. The views here are my own.
